Security Firms London — SIA Approved and Trusted Since 2004

Security Firms London is an SIA-approved contractor, providing licensed security officers to businesses, residential developments and commercial premises across London. We were founded in 2004 and are led by a director with almost 27 years in the industry.

We work across hotels, licensed venues, restaurants, construction sites, corporate offices, warehouses, retail and stadium hospitality. Contracts run from a single night’s cover to a permanent on-site team, and we will tell you honestly which one your site actually needs.

Our officers are the service. Everyone is SIA licensed, DBS checked and vetted to BS 7858 — the British Standard for screening security staff — before they arrive at your site. Every licence is checkable on the SIA’s public register. We then brief them on your premises, so they know your building, your people and your risks from their first shift.

Our clients include Chelsea Football Club, Millennium and Clayton Hotels, ASICS and GANT, Maroush and All Star Lanes. [[Confirm which names you have permission to publish.]]

WHY CHOOSE US

Why Businesses Choose Us Over Other Security Companies in London

Licensed officers are the legal minimum. Every security company in London has to meet it. What separates one firm from another is what it agrees to be checked on beyond that.

We hold SIA Approved Contractor status for Door Supervision, Security Guarding, Key Holding and Public Space CCTV. ACS is voluntary — a company has to apply for it, and then be inspected to keep it. Each year the Security Industry Authority examines how we hire, train, supervise and manage our people. The British Assessment Bureau audits us annually. We work to BS 7499 for site guarding, hold ISO 9001 for quality, SafeContractor for health and safety, and COP 119 for labour provision.

Four independent bodies check our work. None of them are paid to say nice things about us.

EXPERIENCE

Why Experience Matters

There is a difference between a guard and a security officer, and it is experience. Knowing when to step in, and when to stand back. Spotting trouble before it starts. Calming an intoxicated customer without a scene. Turning away a contractor who has no ID at 3am.

You cannot learn that on a licensing course. It is built over years on real sites, at the hours when things go wrong.

That judgement has to come from somewhere. Security Firms London is led by [[OWNER NAME — do not publish until he has approved this personally]], who has spent almost 27 years in London’s security industry — most of it in licensed venues, hotels and stadium hospitality. He founded Accolade UK Ltd in August 2004 and still runs it today. Security Firms London is that same company: the same officers, the same licences, the same standards.

The person choosing your officers has done the job himself. That is what experience buys you.

Security Firms in London — Common Questions

Security guard rates in London depend on the type of cover, the hours, and how much notice you give. Nights, weekends and short-notice bookings cost more. A rolling contract is almost always cheaper per hour than a one-off booking. [[Your real rate band goes here. This single line would beat every competitor on the page.]]

Make two separate checks. First, ask for an officer’s SIA licence number and verify it free on the SIA’s public register. Second, check whether the company itself holds SIA Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) status. Officer licences are a legal requirement. ACS status is voluntary, and audited every year.

ACS is the Security Industry Authority’s quality standard for security companies, not for individual officers. To hold it, a firm is assessed each year on how it recruits, vets, trains, supervises and manages its staff. It is voluntary, so a company that holds it has chosen to be inspected.

BS 7858 is the British Standard for screening people who work in security. It covers identity, right to work, employment history, criminal record and financial checks. Every officer we deploy is vetted to BS 7858 before their first shift. It is worth asking any security firm whether they do this.

They hold different SIA licences. A security guard holds a Security Guarding licence and covers sites, offices, warehouses and shops. A door supervisor holds a Door Supervision licence and is trained for licensed premises — bars, clubs and venues — where alcohol, entry control and crowds are involved. Using the wrong one can breach your licence.

It depends on the size of your site, how many entry points it has, your opening hours and your risk. A small shop may need one officer. A licensed venue at closing time may need several. [[Your rule of thumb here — even a rough one beats every competitor's silence.]]

We cover these areas: Westminster, Kensington, Hammersmith and Fulham, Wandsworth, Lambeth, Southwark, Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Islington
and Birmingham
