What Is Mobile Patrol Security?

Mobile patrol security is a service where an SIA-licensed officer visits your premises on rounds instead of being stationed there full-time. It’s also called mobile security patrols or simply mobile patrols.

On each visit the officer checks the perimeter, doors and windows, car parks, communal areas and any empty units, deals with anything wrong, and records that the visit happened. Because one officer covers several sites in a shift, you get a real security presence for a fraction of the cost of a static guard.

Two things make a patrol work. The timing is scheduled but randomised, so nobody watching the site can learn when the officer comes. And every visit is logged and tracked — time, date and location — so you get proof the patrol actually took place, not just an invoice for it.

Our Mobile Patrol Services

Not every site needs the same rounds. A single lock-up at night, hourly checks on a vacant building, or patrols across a portfolio of sites are all different jobs. We build the schedule around your risk and your hours — and every version comes with the same tracked reporting.

Scheduled Patrol Rounds

Regular visits through the night or across the day, timed randomly so they can’t be predicted, checking perimeter, entry points and grounds.

Lock-Up & Unlock

Opening your premises in the morning and securing them at night — so the same member of staff isn’t always first in and last out alone.

Vacant & Void Property Checks

Regular checks on empty buildings and unlet units to deter squatters, theft and vandalism, and to catch damage early.

Car Park & Perimeter Patrols

Cover for car parks, yards and boundaries — the areas static guards on a front desk never reach.

Alarm-Response Patrols

Patrols combined with response: if an alarm activates between rounds, an officer attends. (Paired with our Key Holding service.)

Multi-Site Patrols

One patrol contract covering several of your sites across London, each visited and reported on separately.

Why a Patrol Beats a Camera and a Locked Gate

Cameras record and gates delay. Neither puts a person on your site at 3am — and for most premises, a visible officer arriving unpredictably is the thing that actually stops a break-in before it starts.

What Happens on Every Patrol Visit

  • Arrive at a time that varies from visit to visit, so the pattern can’t be learned

  • Check the perimeter, doors, windows, gates and vulnerable points

  • Walk car parks, yards, bin stores, communal areas and any empty units

  • Deal with what they find — securing an open door, moving on trespassers, reporting damage

  • Log the visit with time, date and location, and send you a report

Setting Up Your Patrol Schedule

  • Site survey — We visit your premises, note the vulnerable points, access, lighting and hours, and agree how often it needs checking.

  • A schedule built around your risk — Visit frequency and timing set to your site — nightly, hourly, weekends, or across several sites — with the timing randomised.

  • Vetted officers only — Every patrol officer is SIA-licensed and screened to BS 7858.

  • Tracked and reported — Officers carry GPS patrol-tracking that logs each check-point, plus body cameras and radios, and you get a timed report after every visit.

  • Backed by the control room — Our 24/7 control room supports every patrol, with emergency attendance within 60 minutes if something’s found.

Patrols You Can Prove, Not Just Pay For

Anyone can promise to drive past your site at night. The question is whether they did, and whether you can tell. We’ve patrolled London premises since 2004, we’re an SIA Approved Contractor, and every patrol we run is tracked and reported — so what you’re buying is verifiable, not a leap of faith.

What is Lorem Ipsum?

GPS patrol-tracking records each check-point with a time and date, and you get the report — proof, not promises.

Approved and Audited

As an SIA Approved Contractor for Security Guarding — which our patrols fall under — with ISO 9001, how we recruit and manage officers is independently checked.

Vetted Officers Only

Every patrol officer is SIA-licensed and screened to BS 7858 before they cover your site.

Mobile Patrol FAQs

Mobile patrol security is an SIA-licensed officer who visits your premises on scheduled rounds rather than staying all shift — checking the site, dealing with anything wrong, and logging each visit. One officer can cover several sites, which makes it cheaper than a static guard.

They arrive at randomised times, check the perimeter, doors, car parks and vacant areas, secure anything left open, deal with trespassers or damage, and record the visit with a time, date and location.

A static guard stays on one site for the whole shift. A mobile patrol visits on rounds and moves between sites — cheaper, harder to predict, and better for covering several locations or the quiet hours rather than a constant presence.

Every visit is logged with GPS tracking — time, date and check-point — and you get a report. That’s the main thing that separates a real patrol service from a cheap one.

On a construction site, patrols check the perimeter, compound, plant and materials at unpredictable times overnight and at weekends, when theft is most likely. (See our Construction Site Security )

Yes. Patrols pair with key holding and alarm response — if an alarm activates between rounds, an officer attends. (See our Key Holding )

Our officers are from £19 per hour, but patrols are usually priced per visit or per schedule rather than per hour, because one officer covers several sites. We’ll quote clearly after a short site survey.
